I began writing html and learning my way around the Web as a participant in the Math Forum's July 1995 Summer Institute, Constructing Geometry on the Internet. My particular interest is in the ways students can use technology as a tool for learning mathematics and other subjects. In July 1996 I participated in the Forum's Advanced Institute, Constructing Mathematics on the Internet. I am a Math Forum Teacher Associate.

During the '96-'97 school year I taught one mathematics class (eighth grade general mathematics) in my classroom, a Macintosh computer lab. The first unit that I wrote using this experience was Polyhedra in the Classroom. Currently I am teaching two sections of seventh grade general mathematics. I use both a regular classroom and the computer lab to teach two-hour block classes. This year I have been developing lessons that feature a balance of manipulatives, activities, exercises, and technology.
