JOB TITLE: Associate Director

DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Director is responsible for developing and managing online mathematics education services and research projects of The Math Forum @ Drexel. The Associate Director collaborates with the Director in order to secure professional development contracts, new research funding, and revenue from Math Forum's subscription services. The Associate Director must bring strong mathematics education leadership and organizational skills to ensure high quality in the Math Forum programs. This goal requires effective utilization and development of The Math Forum educational program staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

• Developing Research Projects (writing proposals, cultivating collaborators)
• Managing Sponsored Research Projects (managing budgets, planning and implementation)
• Developing and implementing new mathematics resources and activities (alignment with curricula, applying technology to effective presentation of mathematical inquiry)
• Supervising educational program staff and website projects (managing project schedules, staff support and feedback, performance reviews, staff development)
• Cultivate and implement school contracts (client relations, deliver professional development, outreach, and evaluation)
• Support subscription services (align staffing and program design to revenue goals, monitor performance and manage resource allocation, help design marketing and outreach)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree required.
5-7 years experience in mathematics education and technology.
