JOB TITLE: Program Leader

DESCRIPTION:

The Program Leader is responsible for developing and managing online mathematics education services and research projects of the Math Forum @ Drexel. Currently the Math Forum is focused on cultivating effective use of its Problems of the Week services and building online teacher education and professional development programs that take advantage of the professional practices at work in the online communities hosted by the Math Forum. The Program Leader partners with the Director and other staff in order to develop collaborations with other mathematics education researchers and initiatives, new research funding, and revenue from the Math Forum's subscription services. The Program Leader must bring strong mathematics education leadership and organizational skills to ensure high quality in the Math Forum programs. This goal requires effective utilization and development of the Math Forum educational program staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Develop Research Projects (write proposals, cultivate collaborators)
  • Manage Sponsored Research Projects (oversee budgets, planning and implementation)
  • Develop and implement new mathematics resources and activities (online professional development, interactive services aligned with curricula, application of technology to mathematical inquiry)
  • Supervise educational program staff and website projects (managing project schedules, staff support and feedback, performance reviews, staff development)
  • Cultivate and implement school contracts (client relations, deliver professional development, outreach, and evaluation)
  • Support subscription services (align staffing and program design to revenue goals, monitor performance and manage resource allocation, help design marketing and outreach)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree required. Masters or higher desired.
Minimum of 7 years experience in mathematics education and technology.
