Lower Secondary School Teaching Guide for the Japanese Course of Study: Mathematics (Grades 7-9)

Since the release of the results from the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), there has been an increased interest in Japanese mathematics education practices.

The long awaited English translation of the 1989 Lower-Secondary School Teaching Guide for the Japanese Course of Study: Mathematics (Grade 7-9) is now available from Global Education Resources (GER). This is a companion document to the already published textbook, Elementary School Teaching Guide for the Japanese Course of Study: Arithmetic (Grade 1-6).
