Math Is Cool! and Who Wants to Be a Mathematician?
http://www.ima.umn.edu/2006-2007/SW11.3-4.06/math-is-cool/
Why is math cool? The Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications (IMA) answered that question in a November 3, 2006 program for high school juniors and seniors from around the Twin Cities.
"Math Is Cool!" and "Who Wants to Be a Mathematician?" leveraged the University of Minnesota's workshop for mathematicians honoring two seminal figures who inspired a generation of African-American, Native American and Latino/Latina students to pursue careers in mathematics.
