NSDL Online Workshops

The Math Forum has been hosting a series of online workshops for teachers who work with students in 5th through 9th grade. Teachers will explore the Math Tools digital library and several software tools that contribute in some way to mathematical understanding, problem solving, reflection and discussion.

Applications are now open for:

Using Technology and Problem Solving to Build Algebraic Reasoning
Technology Tools for Thinking and Reasoning about Probability

Both workshops run June 15 - July 27, 2009. Applications are due by June 8.

Currently the $100 workshop fees are paid for participants by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). For a fee of $25 to cover administrative costs, 1.5 Continuing Education Units (15 contact hours) can be provided in the form of a certificate from the Drexel University School of Education to any participants who meet the minimum requirements.
