from a Mathematics and Computer Science major at Boston
University. Topics include:
- Bubbles - Mathematical Art
- Conway's Game of Life - Mobius Strip
- Flexagons - Nontransitive Dice
- Fractals - Platonic Solids

MUDD MATH FUN FACTS - Francis E. Su
Department of Mathematics, Harvey Mudd College
http://www.math.hmc.edu/funfacts/
A site developed as a resource for professors wishing to
enrich their courses with mathematical 'fun facts': more than
a hundred math tidbits that can be used at the beginning of
class to get students interested in mathematics. The site
recommends that they be used in lower-division college
courses such as calculus, but many would interest advanced
high school students.
On the site you can pull up a random fun fact, or search by
subject, keyword, or level of difficulty. Tidbits range from
Toggling Light Switches and the Ham Sandwich Theorem to Math
Limericks and Music Math Harmony. Subjects to search include
algebra, calculus/analysis, combinatorics, geometry, number
theory, probability, and topology, or you can browse all
subjects in one list.

ZENTRALBLATT MATH DATABASE - Springer-Verlag
http://www.emis.de/ZMATH/
A database edited by the European Mathematical Society,
the FIZ Karlsruhe, and the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences,
and established in cooperation with Math Doc Cell (France).
Search for abstracts of papers on any math subject by author,
title, classification, source, reviewer, and publication year.
In addition to the Berlin server, there are servers in three
other locations:
- Strasbourg
http://www-irma.u-strasbg.fr/ZMATH/
- New York
http://www.springer-ny.com/ZMATH/
- Lecce, Italy
