MATHS YEAR 2000
Department for Education and Employment, United Kingdom
http://www.mathsyear2000.org/
A project celebrating World Mathematical Year 2000.
"What's On" lists MathFests (festivals of mathematics) in
various locations around the country, as well as other
activities and promotions, such as a Fantasy Football
(soccer) league and Free Maths Stuff for Schools. The museum
offers four illustrated galleries: aids to arithmetic,
mathematical instruments from world cultures and images of
mathematics, practical applications, and tools for geometry.
The site also features a searchable dictionary; an archive
of one-line daily puzzles; publications; and links to games
and other sites.
