  The Problems of the Week are finished for this year. We'll be
  back in September with new options for students and teachers.

  Our mentoring and problem-solving activities are no longer
  funded by grants, but we will continue to offer these
  valuable services through low-cost subscriptions for
  interested students and teachers.

          SHOCKWAVE MONTESSORI GAMES - ARITHMETIC
                      OUR-MONTESSORI

  Materials designed to accompany a Montessori program, and
  suitable for any student. A link to download Shockwave Player
  is included.

    - Stamp Game
        use with children ages 4-7 for addition and subtraction

    - Large Bead Frame
        extends basic addition and subtraction and teaches long
        multiplication (two-four digit multipliers)

    - Checkerboard
        for learning to multiply large numbers

    - Beads and Skittles
        a visual division calculator

    - Flat Bead Frame
        use the multiplication tables memorized already or
        skip count the multiples

  Eisenhower National Clearinghouse (ENC) gives their Digital
  Dozen Award to twelve select web sites that are appropriate
  for K-12 mathematics and science teachers, students, and
  classrooms. This month's awards were selected to encourage
  kids of all ages to continue learning over the summer.
