and Statistics at the University of Saskatchewan, have put
together a collection of exercises important for university
study in mathematics, the other sciences, engineering, and
commerce. The site is available in English, French, Russian,
and Georgian.

LEARNING MATH

The Annenberg Foundation and the Corporation for Public
Broadcasting (CPB) use media and telecommunications to
advance excellent teaching in American schools. Video
programs with coordinated Web and print materials are
offered for the professional development of K-12 teachers.
The programs are also intended for viewers at home and
students in the classroom. Features of the website require
the Macromedia Flash plug-in.
College-level math courses for elementary and middle-school
teachers address:
- Patterns, Functions, and Algebra
- Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability
- Geometry
Two additional courses, Number & Operations and Measurement,
are planned for Fall 2003 and Spring 2004, respectively.
