SUMMER SESSION APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION
IAS/PARK CITY MATHEMATICS INSTITUTE

The IAS/Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) is a program
of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton,
New Jersey. The annual Summer Session is organized into
six groups:
- Undergraduate Faculty Program
- Mathematics Education Research Program
- High School Teacher Program
- Graduate Summer School
- Undergraduate Program
- Research Program
These groups meet simultaneously, pursuing both individual
courses of study and a meaningful amount of interaction.
The rich mathematical experience combined with interaction
among all participants results in greatly increased
understanding and awareness of the issues confronting
mathematics and mathematics education today.
The Summer Session is a three week residential program held
in Park City, Utah, from July 11 - July 31. Teachers
are given full support and a stipend during the Summer
Session. In addition, 6 quarter-credits of 400 - level
mathematics are available from the University of Washington
for a nominal fee.

think critically.

DIEZ ACTIVIDADES COTIDIANAS PARA PADRES Y NINOS

TERC in collaboration with Ceridian Performance Partners has
created ten activities to engage children in arithmetic,
estimation, measurement, problem-solving, and other important
math skills in the context of ordinary life at home. These
activities are designed for children ages 5-11 and their
parents, and are available in PDF format in English and
Spanish.
