Logistical Information
Airport Information
View airport information here. There are taxis and trains available at the airport. After viewing the Travel Arrival Times consider pre-arranging a meeting place and sharing a taxi.
The Septa R1 train will take you from your terminal directly to the University City station stop. You can walk to the hotel from there (view map). The cost is $6.00 one way.
There is a shuttle service, Lady Liberty Shuttle Service available for $10 per passenger. Reservations are not required for airport arrivals. Service is available from 5:30am until 12:00 midnight.
Proceed to Ground Transportation counter upon arrival (located near Baggage Claim) and take a ticket from dispenser on counter (ticket number will be called when van arrives). Dial 27 from courtesy phones at counter and inform dispatcher of destination and number in party (please call after luggage is claimed).
Taxis are available for a flat rate of $28.50 (subject to change).
Parking Information
For those driving, there will be parking available at the hotel. When you make arrangements with Tracey, please let her know.
Hotel Information
We will be staying at The Inn at Penn, 3600 Sansom Street, Philadelphia. View their virtual tour.
The hotel is expecting you to arrive earlier than their normal check-in time. Your rooms will be available starting at 1:00 pm.
Sightseeing Ideas
Here are some ideas if you'd like to sightsee between the time you arrive and the time we're going to meet for dinner:
National Constitution Center
Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
Art Museum - Run like Rocky!
South Street (hippest street in town)

Meals Information
We will be providing all meals for you. Breakfast and lunch will be catered by the Inn at Penn and served near our meeting room. Dinners will be at some of
Philadelphia's best restaurants. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions you may have and if there are any particular beverages that you fancy. Some of us need that morning coffee and others need tea, a Pepsi or water.
Workshop Location
We will have a meeting room at The Inn at Penn.

Things to Bring
- laptop computer, if you have one, is probably preferable to using one of ours
- clothing - check the Philadelphia weather to get an idea but remember that we will be in an air-conditioned room during the day. Layers may work well.
- an umbrella might be handy
- walking shoes
Expense Reimbursement
The grant will pay all of your travel expenses. Please save your boarding passes and all receipts**!
**You must have the full itemized receipts for any meals you pay for or we will not be able to reimburse you. In addition, we are not able to reimburse for any alcoholic beverages.
You must use this Travel Reimbursement Form [PDF download to open with Adobe Acrobat- if you are using a Mac you must open it with Adobe and not Preview]. Please note that we do not need your ss number (employee ID), simply put in 000. Please mail it along with your receipts to Tracey at the Math Forum after the workshop.
