Teacher's Comment It would be interesting to use this block as a stamp and see what happens in creating different border and field patterns. Although it is symmetrical across a single vertical axis of reflection, the combinations of smaller and larger triangles in the corners will affect our perception differently depending on the orientations of each repeition. If you have Adobe Photoshop you might try to replicate this block a number of different times with flips and rotations to create various patterns. |
