### Dividing a 2-digit number by 4 1/6

1. Select a 2-digit number.
2. Multiply by 6.
3. Multiply this product by 4.
4. Move the decimal point 2 places to the left.

#### Example:

1. The 2-digit number chosen to divide by 4 1/6 is 24.
2. Multiply by 6: 6 × 24 = 120 + 24 = 144
3. Multiply by 4: 4 × 144 = 400 + 160 + 16 = 576
4. Move the decimal point 2 places to the left: 5.76
5. So 24 divided by 4 1/6 = 5.76.

See the pattern?

1. The 2-digit number chosen to divide by 4 1/6 is 61.
2. Multiply by 6: 6 × 61 = 366
3. Multiply by 4: 4 × 366 = 1200 + 240 + 24 = 1464
4. Move the decimal point 2 places to the left: 14.64
5. So 61 divided by 4 1/6 = 14.64.
