Let's remember this, a great argument for any wannabe.

This is the group that defends children against wackos let's remember, but
Bob here gets to high five it right to the top, as Judge of Everything.

I think closer to the truth is we care about credentials if you're not Bob.
If you're not Bob then you're answerable to Bob for the results he says
you're not getting.

If you're Bob, well then we all know you're a success at whatever you do,
from math, to physics, to building airplanes in the backyard. Those are the
rules if you want to debate Bob. Anything else is lawless mayhem.
