I interviewed the children who participated in this project with Mrs.
Hadden.I thought you might be interested in their opinion of this project.
These are a few of their comments:
At first I didn't know what to think of this experiment because I don't
like to sew. I soon realized there was a lot of mathmatical knowledge
involved in putting the quilt together. I hope we get to do another one
this year.
Ellie

I thought it was very interesting because everyone had a different pattern
and had to measure the correct sizes and shapes. Mary

I thought it was fun and involved a lot of mathmatical thinking.
Nany

The quilt required a lot of teamwork. I hope we get another chance to do
this in the future. Megan

The activity was really enjoyable and I'll remember it all my life. Being
able to be so individual in math was a real experience for me. Jen

Although I'm not the best in math I found this enjoyable and easy. The
toughest part for me was being limited to the patterns of triangles and
squares and the rest was up to us. Dennis

I thought it was a fun and interesting project. It was enjoyable to the
point that I would want to do a small quilting project again. Mike
