You (or someone else) asked for enlightenment about "wtheether the actualperception
is a conic section?" (sorry - line very bad)

Well, unfortunately the answer is that it's all rather meaningless.
This question seems to presuppose that "standard" identification of the
visual field with a portion of a Euclidean plane. THERE ISN'T ONE.

Those capitals were accidental, but it seems reasonable to leave them in.
