The Internet Classroom
Can you imagine a classroom of curious, committed math students
exploring their own questions, investigating relationships,
collecting, evaluating and synthesizing data, formulating
Keith (and others),
As some of you may know, there has been discussion on the internet
over the past months about about private interest groups putting
pressure on the NSF to limit the free use of the INTERNET. Whether
these are rumours or truths, I don't know, but documents like Keith's
(and this forum archive) are fantastic documents to send to congress
and the whitehouse. So, Keith, if you're inclined to edit out the
request for funds, you may want to send a copy of your document to
PRESIDENT@WHITEHOUSE.GOV and VICE-PRESIDENT@WHITEHOUSE.GOV. It's good
to let our elected leaders know that free access to the INTERNET and
the geometry forum (which is supported by our tax dollars through the
NSF) is making a difference in the education of our youth!
