Dear John, Luigi and others interested in von Neumann,

Living in Hungary I cannot help the two PhD students on the spot, but I
can help them in other way, and offer them and others in USA some
cooperation on von Neumann.
I myself am doing research on Neumann and published paper on him on the
occasion of his birth centenary. I have many letters by Neumann to
Hungarian mathematicians and physicists such as the Riesz brothers
(Friedrich and Marcel), Leopold Fej?ƒÂ?r, Rudolf Ortvay, Zolt?ƒÂ?n Bay, and so
on. Unfortunately I have no information on the existence of the letters
from these persons and others to von Neumann. Remark that all the
correspondence was written in Hungarian. Thus, if somebody send me von
Neumann's letters or other important documents I translate them into
English together with the letters in my possession.
Waiting for your offer I wish everybody Merry Christmas and a (more)
Happy New Year: Laszlo Filep
