How narrowly is the expression "the standards" defined? For example,
is it restricted to ONLY the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards, or does it
also include both the Professional Standards and the Draft Assessment
Standards?

If the Listserv were focused on all three, I believe individuals should
be able to relate issues to something in at least one of the three. But,
personally, I've not been bothered by the topics that crop up. I haven't
detected anything like the level of abuse that I've seen on the Calculus
Reform or TI Listservs, for example.
