South-Western publishes a book called, Sound Foundations. It is designed so that it can be used along with other materials so that it is not your entire course. It takes students through music practice, forming a band, getting equipment, their first gigs all the way to cutting records and planning huge concert tours. All the while students are learning basic math concepts. I think it's a great book to use as a motivator in any math basic math class. You could even use it along with an Algebra course since it would provide the necessary review of basic skills.
South-Western's phone number is 1-800-543-0487. I don't know if the operator at this number can connect you to sales, but I am sure she can at least point you in the right direction. If you happen to be going to the NCTM conference, stop by their booth and ask about it. In the past they have handed me a sample copy to keep.
