COMAP has a math history activity book which is most interesting. I believe the information about the months is in it. I will check tomorrow and pass on the information. I do know for sure it is in some piece of information that I have from COMAP.
While I'm thinking about it, Art Johnson (published by Dale Seymour), Frank Swetz (Open Court), the Reimers (AIMS) and now Sanderson Smith (Key Curriculum) have excellent mathematics history and activity books out. The AIMS materials can be used with younger children.
Cheers!
