Checklist idea

Look at the mathematical emphasis page for each Investigations unit.
You can find all of them, grades K-2 or gr. 3-5, in the
implementation booklet that comes with every complete grade level
package. Each page has what amounts to a checklist of skills for each
unit, not necessarily day by day but certainly investigation by
investigation. You can cut off the NCTM connections part of each page,
draw in lines, punch holes in it and use it in a loose leaf book as a
type of grade book for each student for each unit.
