To get started, I suggest you go onto the Pearson Learning / Scott-Foresman website and look for the Investigations section. There are support resources there for teachers who use the program. Look at the rubrics for each of the end of unit assessments for your grade. There are also spreadsheets there that contain all of the checklists of mathematical emphases for each unit. Both the rubrics and the spreadsheets are designed for scoring at any one of four levels (advanced, proficient, basic and below basic. The spreadsheet will even average them out for you for each unit! Finally, there is a concept map for each unit there, too, that is nice for parents and teachers to see the "big ideas" of each unit as well as the point of each investigation in each unit I hope that this helps.
