I really am encouraged by Nancy's message. I have been using Investigations for two years, and when I first started, I practiced each lesson like I was studying for a big exam. It was hard work. This year has been a little easier, and I already have ideas on how to improve next year. Another teacher and I are currently teaching a staff inservice on using Investigations, and many of the teachers have not used this curriculum and are very anxious about it. I am hoping that they will not be scared off. I just love teaching math using Investigations. I feel that my own math ability has developed as well.
