In regards to organization, the following has helped me immensely and does not take much time. I have all manipulatives divided evenly in 8 separate containers to correspond to my 8 teams of four children. Some are shoe boxes, leftover food boxes, baggies, anything I can get my hands on. Each manipulative is separate from others. When we need manipulatives as a group, the team captain gets them. Clean up is a slow countdown of ten and the team captain puts them away. My principal was really amazed at the short transition time this takes.
As far as the book, when I first started, I carried that book around with me like a bible. I found it helpful to cut the book apart, hole punch it and tab the Investigations, TenMinuteMath and anything I wanted to find quickly. Instead of walking around with the book, I would often just take out the pages I needed...and the MOST surprising thing for me,,,,I actually put them back when the lesson was complete.
