I've just been reading Education Week, Volume XIX, No. 6 of Oct. 6, 1999, specifically an article headlined, "Ed. Dept. Is Set To Release Its List of Recommended Math Programs". In the article Connected Math was listed as an exemplary program for middle school but there was absolutely no mention of Investigations. What really surprised me was that Mathland made the list of programs of "promising" status. Everyday Mathematics was also on the list of "promising" programs. Does anyone have any information about the exclusion of Investigations? Gary Woodford
