I am looking for books that I can read to tie into the 5th grade investigations units. I have used "One Grain of Rice" and "One Hundred Hungry ants." Yes, the ant one is for younger kids, but the concepts of arrays was right on the button, and the kids didn't seem to mind. They really enjoyed predicting and calculating (on calculators) the multiples in "One Grain of Rice."
