I recently used the book Math Curse with my fifth grade ESL class. I also borrowed the Reading Rainbow videotape for the book from my local library. The sutdents enjoyed the video and made a list of all the math they saw in everyday life. It was a terrific lesson in math as well as active listening activity for my ESL students.
