Students are having a difficult time playing "Fraction Fish" because their drawings are not accurate enough to use the pictures for comparisons and they have no othe strategies for knowing that 3/4 and 6/8 are equivalent. Any suggestions? Would it help to use circles instead of rectangles for the whole? Are we missing the foundation pieces because this is our first year in Investigations?
