I will making a transition from middle school (grade 8) to elementary school (grade 5). I recently took a course about Investigations for grades 3-5. I was pleased to see the use of arrays to solve multiplication cluster problems. The middle school curriculum (CMP) does the same as it teaches students about quadratic equations and relationships. I hope that during my first year at the 5th grade level, I will be able to see other ways that Investigations is linked to the math that students will encounter in the higher grades.
