Mark, It is very easy to quickly blame the Investigations curriculum. I don't know what part of the country you are from but as an Oregonian and a school board member I can tell you there are many other tings occuring that could be to blame. Huge budget shortfalls resulting in reduction of the school year in Portland, they now have the shortest contact time in the state and possibly the nation. The state has now suspended the CIM testing at grades 3,5,8,10 due to .. you guessed it NO MONEY! Class sizes, oh yeah they are getting bigger and lack of certified teachers willing to teach. Just thought you ought to know.
