Michael, The issue of grading is a difficult one. We certainly can't wait for report cards to catch up with our curriculum! I write specific comments about students' strengths and weaknesses in various aspects of math. I know of others who have made their own unofficial mathematics report card to go along with the official one. You still have to give the single grade, but you can fill it out with a more meaningful report.
