This year, for the first time, I'm using the Work Sampling standards. I've put them on computer address labels, standard by standard, and I stick them on to the kids' assessment papers when the work demonstrates that the student has met that standard. They are then saved in a portfolio. I use the assessments pieces from the Investigations program (teacher checkpoints included). So far this has been pretty easy, as I'm only concentrating on one strand at a time. Each strand has between 2 and 5 standards. I would think that one could use this system for any set of standards sanctioned by one's district. I hope this helps. I'd love to hear what other people are using. Record keeping is one of the greatest challenges for me.
