I'm interested in how teachers improve their skills at supporting students when the students are working independently and in small groups. Missy mentions sitting with a group as a member of the group to get them going. How do you decide how to adapt a task if necessary to get a student started? How do you engage students in recognizing that they have information they can work from and figuring out how to build on what they know? In what ways have you found the Investigations units helpful for this?
