Dear Concerned Teacher, Do you know if the middle schools in your district are using the CMP math program. My understanding is that this program follows what we are trying to do in Investigations with developing students' problem solving skills and mathematical reasoning and communication. You can also reassure the parents of your students you that their son or daughter will develop speed and efficiency as they have more practice in doing math this way. We have to trust the program and give it a chance.
