To whom it may conern:

I was just asked by my Principal this week to write a short statement
showing the connections of my History of Math course to the current
math standards. I stood agape and I asked "what standards?" I too
lend my support to adding standards as proposed to the open letter to
the NCTM by Steven Jystad written 17 Nov 99.
