Testing Teachers

The Board of Education has selected the company Achieve, Inc (What happen to "Alecks?") to develop the math test for teachers. I assume that they are talking about the company from Cambridge and Washington, DC and not Achieve, Inc out in Palo Alto (does programs for mental health, specializing in early intervention). The local Achieve, Inc. list on their web page the following:
" an independent, bipartisan, not-for-profit organization formed in 1996 by governors and corporate CEOs who shared a powerful befief that: '. . . high academic standards, demanding test to measure those standards, and accountability for performance can push our schools and students to much higher achievement.'"
