Hi, when reading 'FLT', I immediatly thought 'Fermats little theorem', since 'Fermat LAST theorem' is already known to be true (Wiles). Just for fun, I searched for 'pseudo prime numbers' in this group and nothing found. You know pseudo primes (or Carmichael numbers) pass through primality test, which in turn uses Fermat little theorem like base algorithm. I wrote a little SF story using pseudo prime numbers. I sent a copy to Paulo Ribemboim ('The Book or Prime Number Records' Springer Verlag) and he answered to me saying it is first time noticed some SF book talking on these numbers. He liked the story and answered to me in portuguese, since I live in Brazil, and original manuscript of my book is in portuguese. The book talks about extraterrestrial message arriving here after 1987A supernova explosion, and before you say 'another Contact's clone' I would suggest to read what Lisa Dumond (SFSITE reviews) wrote about: http://www.sfsite.com/01a/song48.htm This was first review (Jan 1999), and since that time I reviewed and corrected english version. Into my page there are lot of reviewers comments. Ok , sorry this little ad. I Hope passed some new info to you.
