Is anyone still interested in it?
I cant remember how to solve it anymore

I remember 10 years ago there were a number of books on the subject.

Is there an accepted shorthand notation for describing sequences of
moves?

The reason I need to know is that I am writing a simulator program for
Win95 / NT. (Uses OpenGL 3D graphics).

Anyone interested in beta-testing drop me a line.
