Hello Tool Festers!

Lots of exciting things are happening at Shodor and personally this year. We've begun our summer internship program with a great new group, some new and some old. This summer's cadre of interns can be found at http://www.shodor.org/about/interns/

We began the summer moving into a new home, and from the sounds of it, the Forum has moved too. Shodor is reallyl excitied about our new location, we are on the 11th floor of Durham most beautiful high rise (well, yes, Durham only has 2 high rises... but its still an awesome building) You can see the building at http://www.therenaissancedurham.com/images/g-09b1.jpg and the office space rennovations / moving day / the new space at http://www.shodor.org/~rgotwals/office/web/web.html

I finished my programming certificate at North Carolina State University this spring and am taking the summer off from school. I will beginning a Master's program in August at North Carolina State University in mathematics ed. Dr. Hollylynne Stohl, whom many of you know, will be my advisor. I also was lucky enough to have been offered a Graduate Research Assistantship which I begin July 1. For Shodor in the short term, this means I will be cutting back my hours significantly, probably about 10 per week while I get my degree. In the long term, I'm hoping the program will build exciting new partnerships and opportunities for Shodor.

I'm looking forward to an informative week!
Bethany
