I don't know if your posting is legitimate, but if so, the reason why I originally posted this information because Investigations often uses literature that relates to Mathematics as another tool that connects Math to students' lives and that promotes communication. Perhaps its the title of the ENC focus issue that has you puzzled- if so, this rewording might help, Reading for the Math of It: Supporting Teaching PreK-6 Math with Literature.

Note: Because of funding cuts, access to the ENC site is now not available to the general public. Now you need to subscribe.
