The American Institute for Research has received a grant to study the current state of numeracy instruction in the United States. One task that the Education Department stipulated requires an inventory of current numeracy projects funded by grants from government agencies or private foundations, a summary of the instructional methods and materials being utilized, and a report on the professional development being conducted or planned. If you were recently, or are currently, involved in such a project I would appreciate it if you would send me, off-list, a brief description of the project as well as the funding agency, grant number, and program title (for instance Welfare-to-Work) that supported your project. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Katherine Safford-Ramus, Ed.D.
