[Rick Decker, gives a clear & simple resolution to James's confusion about "too many solutions"]
[Tim Peters, corrects what looked like an unforunate transposition in transcription, and points out a subtler "too many solutions" confusion for James to think about]

There's no arguing with devastating logic ;-)
It's conceivable that _someone_ on the planet might believe I was lying, since the example I gave is tedious to verify without aid of symbolic-math software.
But Rick? LOL -- the explanation he gave was easy to verify in your head. Yes, _your_ head: you're perfectly capable of following the explanation he gave. I did so without even bothering to pick up a pencil: you can't use your lack of mathematical software as a credible excuse for this one. So one explanation for your failure to follow Rick's easy demonstration is that you're even dumber than me :-) Have another one?

I was wondering when you'd trot out "proof by revenge fantasy including Death to the Infidels". Sometimes you're able to see the patterns you fall into. I saw this one coming about two weeks ago.
Do you know what you'll do next? Here's a hint: revenge fantasies occur twice in your cycle. "Death to the Infidels" appears in the second phase (the first phase is just about public humiliation of your imagined enemies). It was behind schedule this time around -- perhaps you're just slowing as you age ;-)
In any case, no, this rounding of Surrogate Factoring doesn't lead to anything useful either. It would be a nice change if you skipped the last phases remaining in this cycle and leaped straight to the start of the next one. Hey, _you'd_ find that refreshing too! Try it.
