OK, I blew it. It does not surprise me at all to learn that there is an actual coherent presentation of a reasonable philosophical take on this LURKING behind the horrible mask of the *1* web- article to which I personally have been exposed. One would EXPECT anyone with a PhD from Yale to have a clearer understanding of this than THAT. Nevertheless, one would then expect the web presentation to evolve TOWARD the more reasonable one that GM is offering. GM is not helping by whining about "vituperation". In order to help, you have to say something about the MATH and you have to QUOTE NW while saying it, so that HE (as well as the rest of us) can see how HIS positions need to evolve.
I mean, seriously, emulate ME. I know what I'm doing. I quoted NW saying that ZF presentations couldn't be bothered to define infinity and then quoted one bothering. That is the kind of feedback that could be helpful. Somebody just needs to take some of the other ridiculous claims and do something analogous.
