We used a table in Microsoft Word to create and color in sets of fraction cards. Print them out and put on index cards. Then there is a set that is done well to use as comparisons, even if you still choose to have the kids make their own cards. In our experience, 4th graders were generally unable to make the cards with a degree of accuracy needed.
