You should look at the curriculum for Phillips Exeter Academy. They have a four year curriculum that they designed to do exactly that... up through calculus. They make it freely available at their website:
It is a great approach, but it is not something that a single teacher could do on their own. I have observed there, and I was very impressed with what I saw.
