In Lake Placid, 46 students took the Math B exam and I had to say "time's
up" to 10 of them at the end of 3 hours.
(Typically, only 1 or 2 stay the entire time)

I proctored the B at my school. We had 65 kids take the exam and
somewhere between 20-30 stayed the full 3 hours.

Did other schools have students run out of time on the Math B? I was
not in the gym, but the teachers there said that an unusual number of
students stayed the full 3 hours, and some of them really ran out of
time and either didn't answer or rushed through some questions.
