That's right. You don't. I asked Wayne to explain his algorithm. This
was not a barbed question, but he ignored it. It's not rocket
science. The man just doesn't like to have to explain, even when
asked politely if it's the "wrong" person asking. This is his
standard approach when Richard, Lou, Victor, and others who aren't of
the anointed ask for things, but in this case, you'd think he'd be
happy to give his algebraic explanation along with the algorithm
itself, or point to somewhere that it lives on the web.

It would be nice if he'd include any adjustments he'd make depending
on the audience (ed students (secondary vs. elementary), K-12
students, etc.). But I'd settle just for the math and his algebra.
Apparently, that is just asking too much.
