Sorry, the modul I gave in my previous message would not have worked. The correct modul of the Red Pyramid and its four spiralling ramps must have measured 210 by 210 by 200 fingers, diagonals 290 and practically 297 and 358 fingers. The ramps were less than four meters wide, the sleds were pulled by oxen (Sneferu imported several hundred thousand cattle from Nubia). Three ramps were used for going up, one for going down. The growing pyramid, enclosed in the four spiralling ramps that softly ascended looked pretty right from begin. The ramps were of the same material as the casing blocks. When the top was reached, the ramps were removed from the top. The superfluous material was then used for the temenos wall, the cult pyramid (base 100 rc, height 49 rc), temples and tombs. The volume of the four spiralling ramps was only one ninth of the pyramid's volume. Again: all ramps in literature are hopelessly steep and voluminous. The principle of measuring out and levelling the ground and of the four spiralling ramps was the same as in the case of the Great Pyramid (apart from the numbers, of course):
